The structure of an acquisition business plan
An acquisition business plan differs from a start-up plan in the sections it must absolutely cover:
- Presentation of the target: activity, history, market position, strengths and weaknesses.
- Acquisition rationale: why this business, your added value as an acquirer, possible synergies.
- Valuation and purchase price: chosen method and justification.
- Financing plan: contribution, acquisition debt, guarantees, co-financing.
- Transition plan: commercial continuity, retention of key customers and staff, seller handover.
